Web Analtyics
We use a tool called Cloudflare Web Analytics to track things like how many people have accessed My DTC, what sorts of devices they’re using, and which pages and features are most popular.
We do this to improve My DTC, and to help measure the impact and usage of our programs. You can learn more about the Cloudflare Analytics tool here.
If you do not wish to be tracked at all, there are free applications, web browsers, and web browser extensions available that can block data collection from most websites.
Restrictions questionnaire PDF letter tool
We do not retain any of the personal information or responses you choose to input while using the restrictions questionnaire PDF letter tool (the “restrictions questionnaire tool”). If you choose to use the restrictions questionnaire tool, here’s what you can expect:
- You go through the questionnaire and answer questions about your restrictions. All questions are optional
- Once you’re done, you can download and/or print a PDF letter that’s customized to your responses. This letter is meant to help your medical practitioner complete their part of your DTC application
- After that, it’s up to you to decide how you may want to share the letter. For example, you may want to print out a paper copy and bring it with you to your next appointment with your medical practitioner
If you do choose to use the restrictions questionnaire tool, we suggest that you:
- Skip questions you aren’t comfortable answering
- Only use the restrictions questionnaire tool when you’re using a device that you own, such as your own laptop, and while connected to a secure internet network, such as your password-protected home Wi-Fi
- Double-check the location your customized PDF gets downloaded to. For example, downloads on your device might be set up to automatically upload to a cloud storage provider, such as Apple iCloud, Microsoft OneDrive, or Google Drive, which you may not want
- Be very careful if you decide to share your letter via email, since email can be insecure. If you’re not sure if your email setup is secure, we suggest not sharing the letter over email
- Remember that sharing information through any online service comes with risks. If you’re ever unsure, the safest option is to simply not input any personal information
My DTC Tasks
We do not retain any of the tasks you add to your list while using the My DTC Tasks tool.
However, if you want to keep a copy of your tasks for later, you can choose to download them onto your own device as a PDF file, or to send them to yourself via text message.
If you choose to send them to yourself via text message, you need to input your phone number. Your phone number then gets shared with a third-party communications platform called Twilio, which in turn sends out the text message. You can learn about Twilio’s privacy practices here.
For additional protection, we have enabled a feature on Twilio called Message Redaction. You can learn about this feature here.
